Up for sale is a very rare hand carved antique natural jade carving.
This magnificent piece features a high quality jadeite jade with a white color and good translucence.
The jade allows light to go through it giving it an internal shine which goes well with the detailed carving of the piece.
This piece is carved in great details on both sides. The center of it is a peacock which symbolized the Chinese Empress.
This is a high quality piece with light wear and a small chip on the side which is not very noticeable.
This piece comes from a private jade collection and it is estimated to be well over 100 years old.
We can trace the collection to over 60 years back as the previous owner was adding antique pieces in his travels.
It measures 75mm by 4mm and it weighs 30.9 grams total.
